I took some other photos but they all turned out crappily. So here are some pretty flowers instead.
I worked from home today so we got to go out for a celebratory hangover breakfast of chicken-fried steak. The restaurant is right on the water.
The other picture I took, the one that didn't turn out, is a boat that's the same as my dad's boat, a Pacific Seacraft Flicka, in the same dark green even. It has an Obama sign in the rigging.
Flower and Webs

I took this picture for the pretty flower. When I got it up on the computer screen, I saw the webs and wondered if this might be the very spot where Jinx had her encounter with the spider family.

I think my favorite part of photography is playing with the focus. I'm using an old manual focus canon. For this shot I was using the 50mm lens and I meant to get two flowers into focus. I failed but I still like the picture.
