Texas Roadside Wildflowers, Golden Tickseed and Indian Blanket Flowers (Picture A Day June 1, 2009)
Had to head up pretty far into the nether reaches of the northwest Hill Country to find serious patches of wildflowers by the time May 2009 rolled around. Up by Rock Springs, Leakey, Kerrville, the medians turn bright yellows and golds, oranges and reds, plus the occasional blue or purple spots. These flowers were found near the Real/Kerr County line along Texas Highway 41, close to the Y.O. Ranch.
