Reading some photo books, I've started thinking more about lines in composition.
This pictures could have been really boring, but is helped by the diagonal arrangement. Bokeh doesn't hurt, of course.

There was an ikebana show at work last week. I took pictures of the arrangements that I liked best. Unfortunately the wooden beams don't make for great backdrops... These two were especially cool. I love the branches and cabbage in the one on the right.
Arrangement In White

I thought white-on-white-with-white would make for a boring display, but I was actually really taken with it, to the point where I'm pondering buying some white silk flowers to keep in this vase year-round. I'm quite happy with this picture, overall, though I do wish I'd had just a bit brighter lighting from behind the camera to really make the tulips lighter.
