Will you stop taking pictures of flowers?
Well, none of the flower pictures really came out anyway. This was on a very long hike from a village, up a mountain, to a beautiful lake at 2618 meters we know as SqueezeJuice (Lej Sgrischus).
216/365 - Indian Paintbrush
Another experiment with the ultra-wide-angle, on our last full day in New Hampshire, which was a brief trip into town followed by a lazy day around the house. Wandered around the yard for a bit looking for a shot, and got a few interesting ones playing off the geometric distortion from the lens (I'll probably post a few of those, too, in a few days), but liked this relatively straightforward one best of the day's pictures.
This is just an Indian Paintbrush bloom in the foreground, set against the landscape of the rest of the yard and the White Mountains in the distance. Tonemapped in Photomatix Pro to bring out more detail in the treeline.
Nikon D7000 w/Nikkor 10.5mm ƒ/2.8 rectangular fisheye, 1/60s @ ƒ/22, -1.5ev, ISO100.
