Cherry Blossom (sakura) flowers at Gucun Park (顾村公园) , located at suburban shanghai . It is just one stop ahead of shanghai university metro line 7 station.

At here, it attracts a lot number of visitors due to cherry blossom seasons. Last monday , 3rd April, the amount of visitor at the park was almost 100 000 and it forced the Gucun Park metro station to close 90 minutes. Another factor happened due to holiday day of china, Tomb sweeping day.


There have about 10 000 cherry bossom trees and you can see in one place there has a lot of cherry blossom starting to bloom

I will go to this place again for taking self portrait photos

Today we visited Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens, the weather was glorious and the flowers where blooming. This was one of the many beautiful gardens, with a touch of Orton

One of the first photographs created was a photogram. I love re-visiting the historical and simple process from time to time. The simplicity I find refreshing and the chemical processing in the darkroom is almost a meditative state for me.

Yellow Gums (Eucalyptus leucoxylon) flowering in Yarra Bend Park Melbourne. This is a largish area of natural bushland only four ks from the CBC (downtown). So one doesn't have to drive through Melbourne's huge suburban sprawl to find natural nature - or at least slightly modified natural nature. This species of Eucalypt finds its place in the local ecology partly from its winter-flowering habit. There are a number of such eucalypts in Victoria, and they are essential, among other things, for providing nectar for parrots and honeyeaters during winter.
And this post is my first with a new camera! The time had well and truly come to replace my old and much-loved D50, so I did my research and shopped around. It became clear to me that the D90 is a classic camera, and that there seemed to be little that I would need in the D300 or 300S, and that I don't at this stage need to go up the range further! The new camera is gorgeous - but I think I've deleted more photos than ever before, because I am so preoccupied with familiarising myself with its settings etc that I forget I'm making pictures.
