I found this image in a neglected folder of some flower pictures.
One of my favorites, and my mom's too . . . it's hard to beat a pansy in beauty, color and complexity. I love this moonstone color in the mix.

A plate in front of the plant says “Violet that Blooms Well: ‘Cranberry’.” I have found that Sakata Seed Company Co., Ltd. sells seeds under the name, and “Cranberry” means just the dark red color of the flowers. It is a little confusing.
Do not enlarge this photo unless you want to feel dizzy. I failed to hold my camera well when I took this picture.
