kinda? I'm not botanist or anything, so I can't really tell you what these are. I probably don't even need to be a botanist to tell you what these are... I'm just really ignorant when it comes to flowers, and yet I love them and have tons of pictures of them..! Something has to change, doesn't it?

Bulb Field

The day after Easter is a national holiday in Holland, so we drove to the beach at Noordwijk, about half an hour away. The route took us straight through the heart of the bulb country so there were plenty of colorful fields. We stopped to take pictures on the way to and from.

Happy 32 Still Love You

Even in this year of financial upheaval, Jay still dug deep to buy his bride a lovely bouquet. We ate at our favorite local restaurant, Mamma Mias. I put one of my hand-made Easter cards in the picture to add to the color.

Red Orange Flower Bursts in Lattice

Image 3 of 4 from our Kaleidoscopes Only - Challenge 7. The original photo of a bunch of colorful gummy bears can be found here.

This contrast of so many orangish reds over black is just beautiful to me.

The first Lotus flower I saw in real life. Unfortunatelly I cannot grow Lotus flowers in my own garden (the climate is insuitable).

See where this picture was taken. [?]

Lotus Flower ?

This is the CP of Mélisande*s 'Star unlimited' folded from an octogan. I need to re-adjust the size of the central octogon and fold a nice version, but there are so many other things to pull out of an octogan that I put this scruffy picture up in case I don't get time to have another go, or in case Mélisande* makes the beautiful one!! i haven't seen this done anywhere else, but show me the links if you know of any examples.

Gorgeous Lily

I couldn't think of the name of this water Lily, but it just seemed to
jump out at me, as I looked at it. May you be blessed with such
gracious and elegant beauty in your own lives. God bless you all
I remembered the name, it is a Lotus Flower/Lily

Thanksgiving Bouquet - Yellow

20000210 - Our Wedding - 4 - after wedding - 1 - Carolyn - holding bouquet - A007 - best picture of the old wall before the addition

Image by Rev. Xanatos Satanicos Bombasticos (ClintJCL)
You're pretty :)

Another weird picture in front of a wall that no longer exists, because our addition pushed that wall 12 feet back. The speaker behind Carolyn is a rear speaker. We still have a stereo on both sides of this room, even today. But what used to be the main stereo now merely extends the sound from our downstairs computer upstairs. It's also another way to make music, in case our upstairs computers and new stereo all die. Additions really mess with you.

You can see the built-in shelves in the background that Daniel M. Lopez of Laurel, MD, threw away in violation of our contract that stated to move them back with the addition. They used to house our can and bottle collection -- they had to be moved to the attic, where they've been ever since.

Carolyn.

fall back

Drying flower bouquet on the fire escape. Our escape connects to the apartment next door, and we occasionally try to piece together clues about them. Sometimes I think of how if we lived in a sitcom, we would be best friends with them and crawl in each other's windows instead of using the hallway.

Chris teased me about taking this picture -- "Lizzie, 10-year-old girl detective!" -- but actually he is the one who is always reporting on the street below, and spied both these things.

Western view. Redux.
